    Abstract
To approach the influence of the deformation in the calculus of beams, the Intrinsic Structural Calculus Method is used. This method of calculus is a model of analysis of structures composed by linear resistant elements that permits to solve the formulation of the effect in the section (differential equation obtained when equilibrium, kinematics and compatibility laws are applied) through analytic, numeric and graphical procedures. In this model, supports of the beam are assimilated to the boundary conditions of the mathematical problem in the resolution procedure. In this communication, it is presented the study of straight beams under actions that generate traction-compression. Efforts and deformation are determined, been considered the action that acts gradually over the straight beam. Therefore, in this study, a nonlinear analysis of the structural element is exposed.
