This paper presents an analysis to the value chain of the furniture industry of the Jalisco state in Mexico, in order to display the sequence processes to improve their performance. Is applied the methodology of the Economic Commission for Latin American and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). Which put principally attention to the next aspects: geographical distribution, domestic market, export capability, governance and collaboration networks. A proposal for their strengthening is developed by implementing systematic supports and specific actions, to facilitate the integration of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), into regional chains that achieve a significant impact in their immediate social and economic environment.
