Advanced engineering project management is essential especially in those projects that can be considered complex because of their dimension and scope. Determining the complexity and how to address it, reducing and allocating risk has been the subject of many studies to date. Of the technical, economic and social components of the complexity of engineering projects, the management of the latter has an increasing. In this paper we develop an approach to the concept of project complexity and different management proposals.
