Marginal populations have been characterized by being people living in extreme poverty due to limited opportunities that they can access. The Trinitarian Island sector located in the city of Guayaquil is a vulnerable sector in which there is interest from the Government of Ecuador, in communion with different universities, among which is the Salesian Polytechnic University, to develop social investment projects related to Improve the quality of life of its inhabitants. The projects developed serve as antecedents contributing with social learning in order to benefit the sector through the growth of their individual skills in favor of the community. The identification within the community of the direction of the predecessor projects, will allow to have opinions on the dynamics of the development of the planning to be realized, generating learning and social relations between the Salesian Polytechnic University and the inhabitants of the Trinitarian Island of the city of Guayaquil. The results of the study developed allow identifying the real environment of the proposed projects and the identification of the tools to reduce the poverty levels in this sector, their incidence and the level of participation of those who comprise it.
