The Vice-Rectorate of Students of the University of Cadiz offers each academic course the so-called "Applied Classes", multidisciplinary talks directed to students of Bachelor, Training cycles and students of 4th ESO. These "Applied Classes" are taught by university professors, with the aim of enriching knowledge in various subjects. In the proposal offered by the Area of Engineering Projects, the relationship between the undergraduate study competences described in the Organic Law for the Improvement of Educational Quality (LOMCE) and the competences within the framework of the Project Management were analysed, based on the relationships identified, to establish later a methodology for conducting a workshop on Project Management. The results included are part of the educational experience with the students of the Colleges of Bay of Cadiz, Jerez countryside and the Janda, mainly the scientific-technological specialties, through the "Workshop on engineering projects: Am I able to achieve success?". In this workshop, thanks to work group dynamics, we worked on the concept of competences in Project Management and particularly in the meaning of "success in the project".
