This research describes the use of the Lego® Serious Play® -LSP- methodology, as a facilitating tool for the development of competences in the subject of Projects of the degrees of Aerospace, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Chemical and Industrial Technologies Engineering of the University of Cádiz.
Due to the complexity and abstract structuring of the teaching matter, LSP is implemented, for putting into practice of the theoretical content, and enhancing commitment, effort, motivation and dynamic and proactive participation, thanks to the use of game dynamics.
The challenges are, based on the proposal of a set of technical variables –requirements management, use of learned lessons, work structuring and changes integration- and interpersonal ones - leadership, teamwork, conflict resolution and communication-, to value their importance and influence.
Through the individual and group models constructed, students can identify strengths and weaknesses, solve problems, share and discuss ideas, reduce uncertainties, establish relationships, propose alternatives and make decisions, using multiple intelligences, in a creative, stimulating, inclusive and innovative environment.
After evaluating its application, on the basis of the questionnaire replies, it can be affirmed that the results obtained are satisfactory and invite to advance in this line.
