LA IDENTIFICACIÓN Y EVALUACIÓN DE RIESGOS AMBIENTALES EN UN ASTILLERO COMO HERRAMIENTA PARA MEJORAR EL DESEMPEÑO AMBIENTAL

Abstract

The aim of this communication is to propose the environmental risk analysis and assessment according the standard UNE 150008:2008 as a tool to improve the environmental performance in a shipyard. For this analysis, the possible activities and risk sources have been considered, as well as the substances involved in a potential incident, the causal scenarios and the initial and consequent events that have environmental impact. The resulting environmental risk evaluation yields quantification and a classification of risks for all the proposed activities. This classification of risks allows to focus efforts and prioritize the program of environmental objectives in an organization, as a powerful tool to comply with the new requirements of the standard ISO 14001:2015.
