    Abstract
There are many areas of engineering in which the dimensioning of mechanical components must be carried out in the face of dynamic demands that vary over time. These variable stresses generate fatigue phenomena in the material that must be considered in order to properly predict fatigue life in the same. These solicitations can be deterministic or random. In the second case, since the determination by numerical models of the temporal response of the component object of study, is practically unapproachable, is why methods of resolution are used in the frequency domain, using as input the PSD of the Random signal of the excitation and obtaining the PSD of the response of the structure. In this work, several methodologies for the determination of the amplitude and number of fatigue cycles from the stress response PSD obtained from the numerical model of the component to be studied are shown. Reference is also made to the various parameters to be considered in the definition of the numerical model and how to obtain them precisely and the influence they have on the determination of fatigue life of said component.
