    Resumen
    Safety is the most important aspect to consider in the design and construction stages of a nuclear power plant. Thus, the reactor vessel is probably the most important element for safety, since it houses the fuel and must exhibit an appropriate behavior, because it is exposed to harsh in-service conditions. Therefore, it is very important to make an appropriate selection of the manufacturing code to be used in the manufacture of reactor vessel. A methodology has been applied to analyze the value of ASME B&PV and KTA code to make a decision, considering technical and economic aspects.
