MODELOS DE MADUREZ EN DIRECCIÓN DE PROYECTOS PARA PYMES: UN CAMINO GRADUAL HACIA LA EXCELENCIA

Abstract

Nowadays, we can find a wide number of project management maturity models. These models lead companies to project excellence. However, usually these models are designed for big companies, and they have not been designed specifically taking into account the features of Small and Medium Sized (SME) companies (size, speed of change, etc.). In this paper, we show the main characteristics of a maturity model developed by the INSISOC Research Institute (University of Valladolid). The model emphasizes the progressive introduction of project management methodologies, so that SME`’s can move from the “hero” model to effective project portfolio management.
