In the context of project management, this research contrasts the fact that stakeholders competences, both of people and organizations involved, at the service of business strategy, encourages organizational maturity, in search of excellence.
From the review of the solutions offered by Project Management Institute and International Project Management Association, the main components of the dimensions to be studied are extracted. Individual competence, as a result of the influence of factors such as academic development, technical knowledge, specific training, use of standardized methodologies, professional certification, experience, participation in complex projects and the position in projects undertaken; as well as organizational competence, based on principles such as integrity of results, compliance with requirements and standards, productivity, prosperity, contribution to new projects and business continuity assurance, are driven by the care of variables that intervene in strategic decisions, such as the socioeconomic context, vision, competitiveness, research, development and innovation, commitment and leadership and information flows and communication channels.
In order to support the hypotheses proposed, a model is validated that responds to the structure that defines organizational maturity as a compendium of individual and organizational competences and business strategy.
