The transition towards a circular economy is one of the main issues of the European Green Deal in order to achieve climate neutrality and competitiveness in the long-term. To analyse the performance of organizations in this area, it is necessary to define indicators that allow quantifying their progress towards circularity. Currently, organizations are communicating their environmental behaviour through reports of disclosure of non-financial information within the framework of Directive 2014/95/EU and Law 11/2018. The purpose of this study is to determine whether taking into account the information that companies are currently communicating, it is possible to quantify indicators that measure their level of circularity over time. For this purpose, the 2019 Sustainability Reports of Spanish organizations included in the “GRI Sustainability Disclosure Database” (GRI-SDD) have been taken as a subject of study. For each of the 29 obtained reports, the sustainability indicators that the organizations communicate have been identified and analysed. Then, these have been compared with the circularity indicators promoted by EUROSTAT and Spanish Strategy of Circular Economy, in order to verify whether they can be calculated with the information that organizations are currently communicating.es_ES
