| dc.description | Summary The subject matter is one of the recognized problems in the environmental strategy of the Palma Soriano municipality. Its objective is to provide an extension proposal that contributes to the promotion of an environmental scientific culture by university students towards the community context of our municipality. To diagnose the scientific and cultural need, direct observations were made of the community's behavior, where it was found that they modeled harmful practices, such as: dumping solid waste in public spaces in the community, modeling toxic habits in open spaces, attacking through cutting down and burning the banks of the Cauto River. Faced with such a situation, university students decide to set up a project to help raise awareness among the community in caring for their environment. The activities are having a favorable impact on local development. A space has been created in the community for the development of scientific and cultural activities that are liked by the community and in which children, youth and older adults participate. Community institutions and local organizations have joined the actions. The project has been recognized in: the university, the Municipal Government, the CITMA delegation and the University Student Federation. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | La temática tratada constituye uno de los problemas reconocidos en la estrategia ambiental del municipio Palma soriano. Tiene como objetivo brindar una propuesta extensionista que contribuye a la promoción de la cultura científica ambientalista por los estudiantes universitarios hacia el contexto comunitario de nuestro municipio. Para diagnosticar la necesidad científica y cultural se realizaron observaciones directas al comportamiento de los comunitarios, donde se pudo constatar que estos modelaban prácticas nocivas, tales como: vertimiento de desechos sólidos en espacios públicos de la comunidad, modelaban hábitos tóxicos en espacios abiertos, agredían mediante la tala y quema las orillas del río Cauto. Ante tal situación, los estudiantes universitarios deciden configurar un proyecto para ayudar a la concientización de los comunitarios en el cuidado de su entorno. Las actividades están impactando favorablemente en el desarrollo local. Se ha creado un espacio en la comunidad para el desarrollo de actividades científicas y culturales que son del agrado de los comunitarios y en la que participan niños, jóvenes y adultos mayores. Las instituciones comunitarias, y los organismos locales se han integrado a las acciones. El proyecto ha sido reconocido en: la universidad, el Gobierno Municipal, la delegación del CITMA y la Federación Estudiantil Universitaria. | es_ES |
