The competences acquired in the Spanish university degrees are classified into four types. The basic competences are described in the royal decree RD 861/2010, while the general and specific ones, in studies that qualify for the practice of regulated professions, appear in the corresponding ministerial orders. Therefore, only transverse competences are defined autonomously by the University that offers a certain degree.
The main objective of this work is to rationalize the offer of transverse competences in all the degrees offered at UPCT, and to provide materials that facilitate their integration in teaching practice. For this, seven unique competences have been chosen for all our degrees, and three successive levels of development of each competence are established. A single transversal competence is associated to each subject, and its level of development will depend on its characteristics and those of the subject.
This communication describes the methodology used to select the competences and formulate their levels, as well as the application of the model to Bachelor and Master degrees, entitled or not, in the field of Industrial Engineering. The model is currently being revised, to update it and, especially, to develop a fourth level that is specific to the Master's degrees.
