    Resumen
The signage of a building for evacuation in case of emergency is vital to achieve two objectives. The main objective is the clear and constant information along the evacuation routes and secondly, the fluidity movement of people to the safety zone. Therefore, the visual stimulus that signaling must offer must fulfill vitally important objectives. The theory of affordances has been applied to many areas, among them has been applied to the design of the signaling of evacuation routes and emergency exits, explaining why there are designs that are not efficient. The objective of this article is, taking into account the theory of "affordances" and the obtaining of information through the behavior records carried out by virtual reality, to know how the signaling conditions the human behavior during the evacuation in case of emergency in a building that is within the scope of the current building codes.
