DISEÑO EFICIENTE DE ESTRUCTURAS CON HORMIGONES NO CONVENCIONALES BASADOS EN CRITERIOS SOSTENIBLES MULTIOBJETIVO
Resumen
The main objective of this research project (HORSOST) is to develop a methodology to establish efficient design criteria for non-conventional concrete structures that maximize their contribution to sustainability. For its success, it will apply intelligent analysis and data mining techniques, multiobjective heuristic optimization algorithms and life cycle analysis. The types of structures covered by the project are prestressed concrete bridges, road vault underpasses and road frame bridges. The project will focus on high strength concrete, fibre-reinforced concrete and self-compacting concrete. The justification of this project is based on the social expected benefit from the design criteria that maximize sustainability, where a merely economic optimization it is not sufficient. This concern has begun to reflect on the current instruction EHE Annex 13. In addition, innovations in non-conventional concretes allow for expanding the research horizon in the sustainability field; due to its increase in performance and durability in conventional concrete, so that manufacture and placing costs are not the determining factors in their choice.
