In the projects financed by PDR GO operating groups in IMIDRA, this project has been financed. GO CAMEVAR is made up of 4 members. These four members are: Camelina Company Spain (CCE), ASAJA MADRID, farmer from the central area and IMIDRA itself. It is intended to help with these GO partners to select a variety of camelina adapted to the central region of Spain that is profitable for the farmer and sustainable in its production. We have seen that this union has a multi-stakeholder composition and that it covers the different elements of the implicit value chain and include end-users, farmers, or organizations such as ASAJA MADRID.
The camera adapts as a means of rotation in the regions of the second and the environment, thus minimizing fallow, where other alternative alternatives are less competitive. It is a species that is being introduced in the sectors of Castilla and Madrid and is used as energy crop and for cattle feed. We have used conventional cereal machinery to manage the cultivation of camelina. The camera is a crop tolerant to sequels and frosts; of sowing in autumn and is an excellent crop in rotation with cereal.
