    Abstract
The sustainability of society will require changes in people, organisations and public administrations. The circular economy is postulated as a driving element of this change. Nevertheless, how do we deal with this change? This article aims to identify the key aspects of the circular economy in order to transfer them to the development teams of industrial organisations. In order to do this, first, the life cycle phases of a product and the circular economy are analysed. Afterwards, a study is carry out on methods of evaluation of durability, remanufacturability, recyclability, repairability, recoverability, updatability and reusability, as well as an analysis of the strategies used in ecodesign. Finally, it concludes with a proposal of aspects to consider in the design for the life cycle of the products that help to integrate the circular economy model in the design processes of the companies.
