At present, the Argentine textile and clothing Sector is not competitive, manufacturing goods without a significant added value and marketing them in the domestic market.
As part of the development and finalization of my doctoral thesis, during the period 2013-2018 possible improvements were investigated, demonstrating that the manufacture of certain textile products treated with nanotechnology makes the Sector more competitive for its added value, for satisfying society's needs and for the possibility to export.
It was also established that in order to produce them, it is not necessary for the companies to make considerable investments, since they can obtain them with conventional machines and equipment.
This Communication will describe assets that would improve this situation, the production process to obtain them and the profitability that an Organization could obtain when marketing them.
Regarding the future of the Sector, global predictions indicate that for the period 2020-2030 there will be a noticeable growth in the consumption of conventional and technical textile clothing, therefore, in November 2018 it began to investigate what other products could improve the situation of it, using tools such as Big data and industrial design and management.
