Construction in Dominican Republic is associated with an inefficient sector, with high costs, low productivity, low quality of finished products and low profit margins with respect to the economic volume of investments.
In the last years, one of the innovation strategies that has been most strongly reproduced in both the professional and academic spheres is the introduction of the Lean philosophy in construction, called Lean Construction. One of the lines of research that the introduction of Lean philosophy in the construction sector is generating is the interaction with Project Management.
The object of this communication is to carry out, through an expert judgment, an analysis of the current state of knowledge and praxis of Project Management in residential type works in the Dominican Republic, so that the current use of Project Management techniques can be improved with some of the techniques and/or tools of the Lean construction philosophy.
