ESTUDIO DE LAS CONDICIONES DE SEGURIDAD EN DISTINTOS SUBSECTORES AGROFORESTALES EN GALICIA.

Abstract

The surveys of work conditions allow us to have a better knowledge of the worker’s risks. The European Union carried out its first surveys in 1990, repeating it every five years. In Spain, the National Institute of Security and Hygiene, has carried out six surveys on different dates: 1987, 1993, 1997, 1999, 2003 and 2007. The fourth National Survey on Work Conditions (2007), has included, workers of the agricultural sector, for the first time. They conducted a total at 11054 surveys: a 5.1% among the agricultural sector, 12.7% among the construction, 16.7% among industry and 65.5% in the services sector. In Galicia there are 87,758 workers in the agricultural sector, although only 52 of them were polled for this survey. Survey results about Galician agroforestry subsectors work conditions are shown in this paper. We have tried to identify the mainly worker expositions injured risks and the accident reasons.
