XIV International Congress on Project Engineering. 1st Latin American Conference onProject Engeneering.
Resumen
Dear member,
It is my honor to present to you the book of communications of the the XIV International Congress of the Spanish Association on Project Engineering, organized this year 2010 by the Technical University of Madrid and its General Foundation.
In 2010 Madrid has hosted the congress, and provided the opportunity to show how projects are not conceived separated from its socioeconomic context, and how a
proper planning of the projects together with an integrated strategy can transform a city and its future. At this point I want to thank the Municipality of Madrid and its
representatives for the support given to the congress.
I also want to thank the support given by the Community of Madrid through the Regional Institute of Workplace Safety and Health (Instituto Regional de Seguridad y
Salud en el Trabajo). Thanks to this institution the topic of prevention has been included in the Congress Program with an specific workshop and also with an enterprises fair on safety and prevention along with the scientific activities.
I similarly thank to all the institutions and companies that have collaborated and have sponsored the congress, specially the Technical Architecture School of the Technical
University of Madrid that has welcomed us into their academic facilities. I want also to highlight the participation of our “brother” institutions from Portugal, Mexico and Peru
that joined us in this common effort and link us more tightly to the Latin American context.
My final thanks are to all the members of the Scientific Committee and organizing team. Thanks to them we were able to improve the peer–review process and achieve a
high scientific level at the communications presented in the congress. With that we continue the process that AEIPRO is developing to achieve the deserved relevance in
the field of Project Engineering at the Spanish and international level.
I would like to finish hoping that those shared days during the congress had strengthen scientific and interpersonal relations between colleagues. Finally I invite everyone to
look at Madrid with new eyes, as a lively city in continuous transformation through projects.
