We feel we have done our job of Introducción a la Arquitectura well, when at the end, we see that a first year student of the School of Architecture of A Coruña (ETSAC) is capable of handling the basic parameters to see and understand what architecture is.
Faced with the imminent start of the degrees of the European Higher Education Area (EEES) and its consequent reduction in classroom hours, for three academic years we have considered strategies for the involvement of the students in art and the profession through actions that expedites the process of awakening and generating capacities within one semester, as well as monitoring and tutoring students outside classroom hours.
Our communication tools have developed and opened up to match web 2.0, especially the weblogs on a variety of subjects is in various versions, and have become useful opportunities to manage our work and produce real and effective involvement with students even outside the classroom
It also raises the idea, that this process can be generalized to different teaching techniques and particularly to the first years of teaching in similar disciplines such as engineering.
