Abstract

The Ministry of Economy and Technological Innovation in the Madrid Region and the Official College of Industrial Engineering of Madrid, under the policy of promoting innovation in the Madrid Region, created the "Portal of Knowledge of Industrial Technology" (www.madridtecnologico.com) in 2006. The Portal is a tool for searching technological information, facilitating the labors of Technological Surveillance to the technical personnel dedicated to the R & D & I. El Portal, which access is free and open, consists of 12 Thematic Areas, divided in 90 subareas and 470 fields of technology: • Aerospace Technology. • Robotic and Automation. • Electrical Engineering, Lines and Equipments. • Information Technology and Communications. • Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Technology. • Metallurgy, Mechanics and Materials. • Power Generation. • Construction and Public Works. • Electronics. • Chemistry and Environmental Technology. • Transport Technology. • Telecommunications.
