dc.descriptionLos sistemas ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) son sistemas de gestión de información que integran y automatizan muchas de las prácticas de negocio asociadas con los aspectos operativos o productivos de una empresa. Actualmente estos sistemas tienen una gran implantación en todo tipo de empresas. Al ser modulares y adaptables a las necesidades de cada empresa, su expansión ha supuesto la realización de numerosos proyectos software con características distintivas, al existir mucha más personalización y mantenimiento evolutivo que desarrollo. Por otra parte, la estimación precisa de los recursos y tiempo necesarios para el desarrollo de un proyecto, es esencial para una adecuada dirección de proyectos, especialmente en el sector informático, en el que los presupuestos se superan de forma habitual y los plazos pueden redundar en una obsolescencia prematura. En este estudio se analizan las características específicas de los proyectos software en sistemas ERP frente a los proyectos software de carácter general. Asimismo se estudian los factores que pueden condicionar la estimación inicial del plazo en dichos proyectos para lo cual se tomará como referencia del estudio la información procedente del repositorio ISBSG (International Software Benchmarking Standards Group). dc.description.abstractAn enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is an information system that supports and integrates many aspects of a business, including planning, manufacturing, sales and marketing. Currently these ERP systems have a wide implantation in all type of companies worldwide. These systems are modular and adaptable to each company requirements. Numerous IT projects have been developed to implement, adapt or maintain that kind of systems. On the other hand, budgets and deadlines of IT projects are exceeded regularly and an accurate estimation of the resources and time required for the project development are essential for project management. In this study, the specific characteristics of IT projects in ERP systems are analyzed, opposite to the typical IT projects. The main factors that could determine project time estimation are also studied. For the research, projects data from ISBSG repository (International Software Benchmarking Standards Group) will be taken as reference.
