TAMAÑO DE LOS PROYECTOS DE SOFTWARE Y ECONOMÍAS DE ESCALA EN EL BANCO DE DATOS ISBSG

Abstract

An analysis of the existence of software projects economies of scale is presented in this paper, based on the ISBSG (International Software Benchmarking Standards Group) dataset Release 11. The results obtained using linear regression suggest the existence of economies of scale. In fact, investigations of relevance point out the importance of replicating previous results, as there has been some debate between researchers about economies of scale. Thus, special care was taken to register all the process followed in this study in order to facilitate replication.
