DIRECCIÓN Y GESTIÓN DE PROYECTOS EN LA MISIÓN DE PAZ DE DARFUR

Abstract

Typical difficulties to manage projects in austere environments are magnified in situations such as the Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur (Sudan), with specific determining political and security factors. We will show the special diversity and magnitude of projects carried out in this peacekeeping mission, the main difficulties they face from the planning, logistic, or execution perspectives, and relevant solutions raised by the Isdefe team which has provided the United Nations requested support in this field to the Spanish Government. In particular, special circumstances affecting Super-Camps and Police Stations construction projects will be shown in detail. Keywords: peacekeeping, mission, Darfur, management, construction, camps
