Following Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) standards, an analysis of the state of the art related with Greenhouse Gases (GHG) emissions of road projects is developed with emphasis on the inventory assessment, the existing data and information, and the necessary and possible scope in this sustainability indicator. The analysis addresses the emission inventory of Greenhouse Gas (in this case, CO2, CH4 and N2O) related to all sources identified by standards: energy use, combustion processes, chemical reactions (lime, cement, bitumen ...), waste management, land use change and agricultural processes.
