    Resumen
    There are many industrial activities that requiere a cost, schedule and quality mesurement and control, but there are not usually managed in a project way. This communication describes a methodology for the industrial maintenance stops based in the most common project management methodologies. The startpoint is a revision of the actual practices, reviewing with the guidelines of the process of the Project Management Institute BoK. The work defines the detected problem and give a particular adaptation of the PMI process according to the specific issues of the stoppage maintenance operation for energy and industrial plants. The adaptation is based on personal experience and try to avoid the too often schedule and cost excess. Keywords: Maintenance; Project management; Maintenance Stops
