In recent years, wireless technology has revolutionized the way to see and understand communications, removing restrictions and giving more flexibility when it comes to implant a network. Thanks to this technological evolution different types of wireless sensor networks (WSN) have been developed in order to make possible to get data in almost any localization. These networks are made up of wireless nodes that allow them to capture in a constant way diverse measures through different types of sensors and transmit them wirelessly until a central node.
One of the applications where is possible to get more profits using WSNs, is precision agriculture. Real time monitoring in agricultural crops is a huge help to their managers,
because it is possible to study some measures of different locations from a position in an office, without the necessity of wiring a system through a property and also, avoiding
possible adverse environmental conditions. Thanks to this distributed system of sensors, a reliable system with a simple infrastructure and a low cost that allows obtaining required data by the farmer in a fixed area is obtained.
