The results of a teaching-learning strategy developed in the poject course for training and competences development of students in Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Piura (Peru) are presented herein.
The strategy has been described in an earlier paper entitled "Competencias en dirección de proyectos alcanzables antes del grado de ingeniería" based on project-based learning (PBL). This paper discusses and compared the results obtained during the last year of two groups of students with the results obtained in the previous study. The results found (with statistical significance) that competences improve significantly in any of the student group.
Given the correspondence of the project course with the competence model IPMA is that the course is registered as " Registered Training Course" , reinforcing the results obtained in the previous study and claiming successfully that the achievement of competencies achieved is applicable not only in the regional context but also in the global.
