GENERACIÓN DE UNA BASE DE DATOS DE PUNTOS HÍDRICOS EN PROYECTOS DE INNOVACIÓN DE LA GESTIÓN MUNICIPAL DEL ABASTECIMIENTO DE AGUA

Abstract

Water management is one of the most important challenges for the society in the future. Assuming the appropriate responsibilities requires to carry on at the watershed level a participative policy, specially at the local county institutions. The characterization project of the water resources has to begin with the more evident elements such as basic information about water points and their conditions, ending with more complex works such as modeling, for instance. In this contribution we propose the interactive characterization of the water points in an Asturian watershed. We have created a field data acquisition protocol as well as a data base (ACCESS), to be managed by the local institutions, which gathers all the relevant information. This data will guide de decision taking process to improve the water supplying process. This database will be the base to further studies and a working document to be read and modified for private and public entities. Keywords: Water management, water supplying, water points, data sheet
