EL PAISAJE EN LOS PLANES URBANÍSTICOS RURALES: VISIÓN CRÍTICA Y PROPUESTAS DE ACTUACIÓN
Resumen
The new Spanish land law includes sustainability and landscape conservation as one of the fundamental factors of growth and development of urban areas. However, apart
from a few precise places, like the Pyrenees or natural parks, there are few plans and urban regulations that set applicable criteria in order to landscape integration of new
buildings and conservation of existing ones.
In our paper we will show the singular importance of the appreciation, knowledge, preservation and divulgation of the values of urbanism and buildings to rural places.
Building, based on tradition and mimetic and sustainable integration into their environment, allows people to appreciate themselves and form their own identity.
We aim to introduce the landscape factor into engineering and architectural projects, proposing a suitable methodology and changes in urban laws and territorial planning
which guarantee the protection of the landscape and respect for its idiosyncrasy.
Big projects like Gran Scala1 in Monegros suppose opportunities for a territory in crisis. But in the meantime new buildings will be built and these should be integrated into their environment and respect the architectural tradition in order not to destroy its characteristic landscape, and with it one of the regional marks of identity.
