COMPORTAMIENTO DE LOS MATERIALES SECUNDARIOS, DERIVADOS DE RESIDUOS DE CONSTRUCCIÓN Y DEMOLICIÓN (RCD)GENERADOS EN EL ÁREA METROPOLITANA DE ALMERÍA
Resumen
The results of a research project are presented concerning the debris generated in the metropolitan area of Almería, in order to looking for their reuse in earth works and
concrete elaboration. For it has been carried out a chemical characterization and geotechnical properties of the residual, and concrete has been elaborated with different
dosages of arid recycled.
The results of chemical analysis revealed the silica presence (39,13%) and alumina (9,55%), coming from the quartz and present silicates (albita, illita, chlorite and
caolinita), besides oxide of calcium (21,42%) that associates with the calcite and dolomite. It also highlights the presence of 1,23% of sulphur related with the presence
of gypsum. This content of sulphur this above 1% fixed in the norm to be able to be used as arid recycled. The geotechnical properties suggested that the grain results are
not inside the typical interval fixed in the normative one Spanish, although it is a granular material that a CBR 36 registers what transforms him into a floor selected for
the formation of esplanade. The use of this material as sand in the concrete production, makes him to go down the resistance abruptly to compression.
With these data it becomes necessary to act on the process of selection of materials, avoiding the elements with presence of gypsum. The size of the arid ones that they
leave the crushing machine should increase also. This will be able to allow an increase from the resistance to compression of the concrete made with arid recycled.
