CAMBIO CLIMÁTICO Y CAMBIO RADICAL EN INGENIERÍA DE PROYECTOS
Resumen
Climate Change is a fact, not a theory. A drastic Green House Gases reduction is needed. A man-made change requires a man-made crisis. The mental process linked to innovation resistance or refusal, is described and how it reinforces the said resistance, instead of using crisis as an opportunity.
The concepts of sustainable development, eco design, etc. are discussed; the proposal is a new affective and emotional bonding in relation to Nature, prior to the creativity process that finds ideas that will direct our actions. There are already technological solutions, profitable and competitive to solve the crisis.
The text describes success histories in the fight of Climate Change. It is also described why Project Engineering plays an essential role to deliver this radical change: new habits and ways of thinking must be rapidly adopted.
Project Engineers must understand the sense of urgency of the Climate Change crisis; they can contribute to a change in direction of the energy paradigm of the XXI Century and the relation of the human being with the Planet Earth [1].
