| dc.description | El modelo Multifractal Universal (MU) puede utilizarse para modelar la variabilidad de la lluvia considerándola como un proceso multiplicativo de tipo cascada. El objeto de este trabajo consiste en analizar una serie histórica de datos horarios de precipitación utilizando el citado modelo de forma que se consolide el conocimiento respecto a la naturaleza fractal de la lluvia. El estudio de la función empírica escaladora de momentos estadísticos ha revelado la presencia de una transición de fase multifractal asociada con un momento crítico. La obtención de los parámetros del modelo MU ha permitido obtener la función teórica de los momentos estadísticos, encontrándose un buen ajuste a la función empírica excepto para los momentos de orden menor. El modelo MU resulta adecuado para describir estadísticamente la serie temporal de precipitación analizada. Palabras clave: modelo Multifractal Universal; precipitación | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | The Universal Multifractal model (UM) can be used to study the variability of rainfall when considering it like a multiplicative cascade type process. The objective of the present work is to analyze an historical rainfall data series by using the UM model, in order to increase the knowledge of the fractal nature of rainfall. The parameters that characterize the universal multifractal model allow the obtaining of the theoretical scaling exponent function. The comparison of both empirical and theoretical scaling exponent functions let to conclude that the UM model can be used to describe the rainfall data series analyzed.
