LA GESTIÓN DE PROYECTOS TIC: UNA METODOLOGÍA PARA PYMES DE CIUDADES PEQUEÑAS
Resumen
Carrying out projects is a key activity for any company to survive, especially in the current competitive environment. All these projects must be adequately managed during all of their phases to finish them successfully. Large or multinational companies usually manage their projects correctly, but SMEs are not used to do that. Several authors agree on both, the importance of ICT for SMEs and the management of this kind of projects. For this reason, we have developed a new ICT project management methodology specifically tailored for SMEs located outside the metropolitan areas.
To reach that purpose, previously, we have interviewed persons in charge of ICT projects in some SMEs and we have also analyzed some standard methodologies, finding out their disadvantages for this kind of companies. With these information and our own ideas, we have developed an easy to use project management methodology, which allows carrying out a good control of the project with a minimum effort and bureaucracy. Our proposal includes 5 major phases with several steps in each one: before the project, planning the project, carrying out the project, documenting the project and after the project.
