In this communication an application of the Analytic Network Process (ANP) to select photovoltaic solar energy projects is presented. These types of projects have a long
procedure from the selection of the location to start the plant. This long process has a lot of risks of delay and, in the worst case, of paralysation.
In the case of study the manager of an important Spanish company of this sector has to decide in which project (from four alternative projects) would be better to invest based on the risks that have to be minimized. This manager identified 50 risks of delay or paralysation. With ANP multicriteria decision analysis method influences between elements of the network (groups of risks and alternatives) were considered and analysed.
