We present a research about the consulting engineer as an economic mediator in public infrastructures markets, which leads to detect new activities’ opportunities. In parallel, we develop the management strategies needed by the consulting companies in order to success in this businees field.
In effect, the mediators show different functions in the social or economic relations. We find mediators in the work or financial conflicts, as public function evaluators, as information suppliers, etc. The also inscribe themselves in value chains or network industries. As for their social image of the mediator is usually not advantageous. The mediation function is often understood with difficulty and linked in the popular conscience with the unfair capture of benefits by intermediate agents.
