SITUACIÓN DE LA SEGURIDAD EN LA CONSTRUCCIÓN EN LA REPÚBLICA DOMINICANA

Abstract

Globally the construction sector is among those who reported the highest number of accidents at work. This article provides an overview of the state of occupational safety in construction in the Dominican Republic, starting from the official statistical records available and the picture is observed in reality. The analysis of the sources shows that the existing statistics are not representative of the real sector. Finally, it shows a review of the Dominican legislation on job security, currently under review and is a comparison with the current Spanish legislation.
