The European Convergence Process is as a challenge in many ways. In the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), such European trend has inspired many professors from
different centres and degrees to get involved in the “inside” transformation of the University and make proposals in terms of implementing several changes in degrees and subjects. In centres, such as the EPSEVG (Escola Politècnica Superior d'Enginyeria de Vilanova i la Geltrú) and EPSC(Escola Politècnica Superior de Castelldefels), where some subjects are taught using PBL (Problem Based Learning), are now offering their students the possibility of attending different subjects simultaneously by joining their formative objectives in a project or problem to carry out within a module or a set of subjects.
In this paper we present a proposal on how to join two subjects through PBL teaching. The case in point is the Projects and Digital Electronic Systems subjects in the Automatic and Electronic Engineering Degrees (ETSEIAT). We will discuss, then, the current state of this research and practice in the classroom and the changes to be adopted to teach PBL jointly next term.
