APLICACIÓN DE LA METODOLOGÍA BASADA EN APRENDIZAJE-SERVICIO PARA LA GENERACIÓN DE NUEVOS CONCEPTOS DE PRODUCTO

Abstract

Nowadays, the development of skills in product design should not be disconnected from the needs and responsibilities of today's world. Neither should we forget that the acquisition of transversal competences between subjects of the Degree in Industrial Design Engineering and Product Development allows the generation of skills related to personal development, required for the professional and academic fields. In order to promote the acquisition of competences and teach them to the future designers, Conceptual Design subject together with Materials II subject, in the 2nd year of Industrial Design Engineering and Product Development Degree, work in a common project during 2 consecutive semesters, which converges in the design of a product in which not only the technical/theoretical knowledge acquired is shown, but also aims to awake their social motivation and involvement. This paper shows the organization of the different tasks, the results obtained and the opinion of both teachers and students involved in the experience.
