Resilience is a concept widely employed in different fields such as engineering, psychology and newly and, more recently, in business management and organization. It could be defined as the dynamic process of positive adaptation to change in hostile environments. Present work has analyzed how schools apply different practices recommended by the literature for good resilient management. Through the design of an on-line questionnaire addressed to 33 secondary schools in the Valencian Community, resilience has been measured in terms of seven basic dimensions: orientation to the environment, educational strategy, change management, entrepreneurship, flexibility, creativity and knowledge management. As a result, it has been possible to know the degree of implementation of the aforementioned practices, the level of performance achieved by the centers and the importance they are given. Likewise, from the k-means cluster procedure it has been possible to group the centers according to the level of performance achieved in the aforementioned dimensions, as well as to know the idiosyncrasy of the groups according to different descriptive variables. The results have confirmed a tendency to use resilient practices in schools, although with an unequal performance that requires the implementation of different improvements for each of the two groups obtained.
