    Abstract
    Technical and scientific literature present different methodologies, tools, studies and developments of the application of expert systems using neural networks and fuzzy logic for risk assessments. Nowadays, there is great interest not only in identifying and assessing risks, but also in the qualification of risk in terms of its definition as emerging. Within the risks in the workplace, exposure to vibrations in the hand-arm system can be considered as an emerging risk. This paper proposes a tool for the evaluation of the level of emerging risk from exposure to hand-arm vibrations in the workplace, using fuzzy logic
