LA FORMACIÓN-DESARROLLO UNA HERRAMIENTA INNOVADORA AL SERVICIO DEL DESARROLLO DE LOS TERRITORIOS
Resumen
The need for training acquires its broadest sense working with groups of people who need encouragement or support for their access to and integration into the labour/employment market. Training is a key element to development processes in rural areas. However, training is not spread in rural areas due to territory and population features. Besides, methodologies that are used by traditional training organizations do not adjust to rural areas characteristics. This paper collects and analyses the methodologies and experience in training field of the Cuenca Community Development Institute association (IDC of Cuenca). The association has been 30 years putting into practice a training methodology specifically conceived and designed for rural areas with low population density. This methodology, named training/development is characterized by the project, the work group, the adaptation and the flexibility. Along this period training/development programs have proven to be one of the main tools for the development of professional and economic projects, participation promotion and capacity building of rural population in their own development.
