    Resumen
Industrial designers acquire and put into practice many and diverse techniques to come up with the best solution for a design problem. In some cases, these problems are ill- defined and involve the additional difficulty that the end users have their health undermined. In these situations, the designer skills to observe, empathize and research are key for a good problem definition that leads to the project success. This research takes place within the context of a collaboration with the Asociación de Esclerosis Múltiple de Castellón (AEMC). This association asked to the Universitat Jaume I to think up about a new product to improve the Multiple Sclerosis patients’ conditions. Several design thinking techniques were studied and selected to conduct a good research and collaboration with the patients and the staff of the AEMC. This work explains the advantages and the difficulties encountered during their application.
