| dc.description | La industria de la construcción, espina dorsal de la economía global, mueve cada año alrededor de 10.000M$ con aumentos del 13% anual. Los proyectos de construcción hoy en día se llevan a cabo de una manera muy similar a los de hace varias décadas: la mayor parte del trabajo se sigue haciendo en el sitio, con poca automatización y optimización de procesos. Esto conlleva que las empresas de construcción tienen crecimientos de productividad muy inferiores a las del conjunto. En los últimos años se ha pretendido resolver este problema mediante el desarrollo de nuevos materiales ligeros y metodologías constructivas, que pueden marcar la diferencia. Estos avances en varios frentes han abierto un enorme potencial hacia la mejora de la productividad en construcción especialmente mediante la construcción off-site. Este trabajo analiza la situación actual, con diferentes formas de afrontar la construcción modular y sus principales agentes, determinando las claves en que este mercado se moverá en el futuro en la búsqueda de mayor eficiencia, menor desperdicio y seguridad mejorada. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | The construction industry, backbone of the global economy, moves every year around 10,000 m$ with increases of 13% per annum. Construction projects today are carried out in a very similar way to those of several decades ago: most of the work is still done on the site, with little automation and process optimization. This implies that construction companies have much lower productivity growth than the whole. In recent years it has been tried to solve this problem by developing new light materials and constructive methodologies, which can make a difference. These advances on several fronts have opened up enormous potential towards improving the productivity in construction especially through the off-site construction. This work analyzes the current situation, with different ways of facing the modular construction and its main agents, determining the keys in which this market will move in the future in the search for greater efficiency, less waste and improved security. | es_ES |
