| dc.description | En la literatura científica, se encuentran diferentes estudios sobre el efecto positivo que tienen las Oficinas de Gerencia de Proyectos (PMOs por sus siglas en inglés) en el desempeño de los proyectos bajo su supervisión. Principalmente, dichas investigaciones utilizan una aproximación de tipo exploratoria; se desarrollan desde una base estadística limitada, usualmente mediante el uso de casos de estudio de organizaciones en contextos foráneos, que no representan la realidad de los proyectos desarrollados en Colombia. Teniendo en cuenta lo expuesto anteriormente, es necesario analizar el impacto que generan las PMOs en el desempeño de los proyectos en el contexto empresarial colombiano. Esta investigación, demostró que el desempeño de los proyectos se ve positivamente impactado por la presencia de las PMOs al interior de las organizaciones que ejecutan este tipo de iniciativas. Inicialmente, se realizó una revisión de literatura científica especializada en el análisis de las oficinas de gerencia de proyectos en los principales journals y estándares internacionales; seguidamente, se desarrolló un extensivo trabajo de campo, en el cual se estudiaron más de 500 organizaciones que ejecutan proyectos en Colombia; posteriormente, se adelantó un detallado análisis estadístico de datos, y finalmente, se establecieron resultados y futuras líneas de investigación. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | On the scientific literature, different studies analyzed the positive impact that the Project Management Offices (PMOs) have on the projects under their supervision. Mainly, those research works used an exploratory approach; form a limited statistical framework, usually based on case of study organizations far away from the reality of the projects implemented in Colombia. Taking that into account, it is needed to analyze the impact generated by the PMOs in the performance of the projects in the Colombian enterprise context. This investigation, demonstrated that the performance of the projects is positively impacted by the presence of the PMOs within the organizations that implement this type of initiatives. Firstly, a literature review about the Project Management Offices was conducted on main international journals and related standards; secondly, an extensive fieldwork was undertaken, analyzing more than 500 organization that perform projects in Colombia; subsequently, a detailed statistical analysis of data was carried out , and finally, study results and future lines of research were established. | es_ES |
