This article analyses the situation of Spanish public administrations related to their procurement processes from the point of view of sustainability. A study is carried out in the scientific literature on Green Public Procurement, a term that the European Union defined in 2008 to identify the processes of procurement of goods, services and works, with reduced environmental impact throughout their life cycle, in order to publicise the current situation regarding the consideration of sustainable criteria in public procurement procedures in Spanish Administrations, as well as to show how they have evolved over the last 10 years.
