    Resumen
Nowadays it is becoming increasingly popular to use Arduino platform to programming and design electronic projects in a simple and useful way. The aim of this project is to determine precise amount of water drained on a plant in a given time interval by a pluviometer and record the drainage period in the Arduino. The system works automatically and is activated when irrigation water is being piped to the pot and terminates when the system detects no water drops in a given time. In this period is recorded the total amount of drained water. Furthermore communication between Arduino and the computer is done via Modbus protocol to connect more slaves like sensors in a network. Informations are displayed through a graphical interface designed in LabView.
